Safaricom today announced that customers who purchase the all-in-one monthly plan will be offered an additional 5 GB of free data to enable video streaming to YouTube. Basically, we will be able to broadcast videos on YouTube without the use being deducted from their monthly plan but rather the free data of 5 GB. The offer is available for customers from today up to 5e July 2019.

The all-in-one monthly plans were launched in February 2019 as the telecommunications company decided to adapt its proposals to the age of smartphones. In addition, customers were increasingly looking for a single plan that bundles all of their communication needs (data, voice, SMS) at a single, predictable price. The plans allow customers to call and text on all networks at reduced prices. The packages available are from Ksh. 1,000 to Ksh. 10,000 all with a validity of 30 days.

Sylvia Mulinge, Chief Customer Officer, Safaricom, said: “Kenyans are increasingly turning to internet video consumption, with music, comedy, news and sports becoming the most popular online video content in the world. country. To meet this need, we are giving our customers an additional 5GB of free YouTube streaming that they can consume anytime of the day for a month. We also continue to expand our network across the country to ensure Kenyans have access to strong, reliable and super-fast 4G + coverage wherever they are.
