Sudbury Theater Center hosts auditions for its Students on Stage program

Sudbury Theater Center accepts auditions for its Students on Stage program

The Students on Stage program engages students in the process of creating a major theater production, culminating in a series of performances for parents and the community. Participants develop their interpretive skills in acting, voice and movement, and contribute to the creation of props, sets and costumes.

STC’s education programs contribute to the emotional, intellectual and social development of each student, the theater company said in a press release. Participation also helps develop their self-confidence and problem-solving skills.

The program is open to children aged 10 to 17. Entry to the program is by audition.

Auditions will take place at STC on Sunday November 7 and Monday November 8, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Auditions will take place in groups of six to eight students of the same age. There is no fee required to audition.

Masks must be worn at all times inside the building. Hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout the building and in the washrooms.
