United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has upgraded its mobile banking app, introducing many interactive features to make banking easier, while allowing customers to conduct unlimited transactions with just the tap of their mobile phone.

The bank revealed it yesterday in a statement.

Group Head, Digital Banking, Sampson Aneke, said UBA aims to provide the best possible value to its clients through a more interactive and user-friendly interface that makes available a myriad of opportunities from the comfort of clients’ homes.

He explained that the new mobile app would now prompt users to use biometrics enabled on their device, adding that the menu has been collapsed and divided into sub-menus to allow users to view transaction history, net worth, trends and more at a glance.

“With the new interface, the user can now see all transfer options including the registered beneficiary option at a glance and can even order food to be delivered through the app,” he said. -he declares.

Customers who subscribe to the lifestyle offering on the app will receive free access to the online doctor, a great response to the new standard created by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Other features of the app, as Aneke pointed out, include the option of live chat, where users can communicate on the go with dedicated staff trained to respond to all requests and challenges; validation of the biller; as well as group transfer – a new menu where users can create groups, register members and transfer funds up to 100 group members.

“This beneficiary group transfer feature that performs a single lump sum debit and multiple credits to beneficiaries, regardless of the banks where their accounts are domiciled, makes the upgraded UBA app the first app in Africa to be able to pay. salaries, thus meeting a major need in the MSME space.
